Apparently I was anonymously gifted with a year of paid account here on Dreamwidth. It happened a week ago, and I had neglected to check the relevant mailbox so didn't find out until tonight.

Dreamwidth says it was a "random drawing" and I can't prove otherwise, but I'm not convinced.

In any case, whoever you are, if you are reading this, thank you for your generosity. I'll try to live up to it.
