Yes, I see. Of course, leaving a financial district powerless may sound like a good idea to some, myself included. Perhaps it really is a plot, though I doubt the squirrel was anything more than a paw[n], like a suicide bomber.

It started with her complaining about the squirrels digging up her garden and raiding her bird-feeder. She was so incensed that various folk have felt it their duty to pass on to her all manner of media stories describing the antics of squirrels. I guess it was inevitable that story would be sent her way. Likewise the oe about the squirrel in the bird feeder (which had a slightly happier ending). Squirrels often seem to appear in her cartoons these days, so I'll be slightly surprised if her NaNo series this year doesn't feature at least one with a squirrelley theme.
