MFF day one

No problem with the room reservation, thank goodness. Did the fursuit
meet & greet and got photoshot. Or should that be shooted? Traded lots
of hugs too. Had dinner with lobowolf & damnbear & their friend Joe. Now to try to write for a bit.

Thanks. It was lovely for the most part. I'm even pleased with the writing I got done in odd moments. I got to spend at least a few minutes with several people I knew online but never met in person before, and a longer time than I've had in the past with several I like a lot but have only been able to greet in passing during prior cons. I'll post more about it later.

Lobo and I just got home. It was good to get a chance to spend some time with you, although short as it was.

We'd hope to make a visit to the area sometime outside of any events to spend some quality time with you and other good friends.

Yes, I'm really glad we got to spend a little time this year. I haven't forgotten that earlier discussion of a visit and "unfun" con. ;p That was right before you hurt your hand, I think, but it can certainly be arranged when an opportunity arises. *distributes hugs to both of you*

More likely a pickup truck, I think.

We went to Fuddruckers, which is a more or less family-oriented hamburger and chicken place. Not quite fast food, because they take your order and make it up on demand, and use those little pager things with flashing lights to tell you when it is ready to pick up. I had a salad with fried chicken chunks in it. I think everyone else had burgers.

I like those little pager things, a chinese place near where I work has them, I'd never seen them before.

The name is deliberate, I'm sure.

The pagers are used a lot in popular chain restaurants over here. I usually take them as a sign that the place is much too noisy for my comfort.
