Fennec finds a new clue

The story continues, as Fennec discusses the things they know with Hammel and speculates about the things they still don't know. Then he finds an unexpected hint right in his own office, one that has been there for almost a century.

It's snowing here. Fairly hard and steady, with over two inches on the ground now. I may have to take back my harsh words about the weather service. We haven't heard a plow go by on the road yet, though conditions were already slippery and difficult when I came home from work five hours ago. Gary's choir practice for tonight was canceled due to the weather, and he just cancelled his rehearsals for tomorrow as well. Neither event was important enough to justify people traveling in these conditions. Time to find a nice warm quilt and snuggle under it I think.

Oh my. This is not going to make sense at all unless you've read the story from the beginning. It's about to get very confusing, I'm afraid. It will all make sense in the end, but without the hints that have already been dropped and the identities of the major players, I might lose you on the way through.

Yes, snapping turtle, and that was hinted at back in chapters 2 and 3. The significance of it all will eventually become clear, or at least I intend that to happen. We'll see how well I can do it.

Heh, when I think of all the limits that have been made of my perception by others... *chuckles* Actually, i found the whole thing rather interesting... but worry, not Alt. I'll read the whooe story over in proper sequence at some point... I promise *raises hoof & smiles*
