Take the "How Do You Use Magic?" (http://www.wiredreflection.com/tests/magic.html) test! Written by Brimo (http://www.wiredreflection.com)
Usually, in rpg Sword and Sorcery games, if I have my druthers, I play a kind of Conan character that uses magic as a tool, not as a way of life. *shrugs*
You see, I believe that the sword in that guy's hand, even if he's on my side, predisposes him to act in ways that I find inappropriate. The sword, or the rifle does not solve problems, it only exacerbates them.
Think of me as a Vulcan, if you will. Or in terms of European history, perhaps an Albigensian or a Celtic monk. In Asia, a Buddhist monk certainly. It may seem irrational to you, but it is my essential nature and not something mutable.
Schmoozing sure, that's a bardic talent. But so are singing and writing, history keeping and teaching. All good things for someone to know, and things I think you're good at.
Heh... thank you kindly. I have momentarily suppressed my desire to make a more strongly self-deprecating response :)
I don't think I'm very good at history keeping, though; it's just not my forte. The others I can make a passable stab at on occasion.
I need to write and sing more... I've just been so busy lately that what little free time I end up with tends to be spent on less energy-eating activities. That's a bad trend that I should watch carefully, now that I think on it. Time to exercise the ol' willpower a bit!
It's been aeons since I've been called 'hot' - lol

In real life I use magic whenever I can.

This is a bit surprising but it is what I got. Granted I did answer the question about the bow in the sense you shouldn't be near me if I fired one.
