Dense fog continued here all day today, sometimes with visibility less than 100 feet, though many drivers continued to drive at dangerous speeds and without turning their lights on. It was extremely scary to be on the roads, but I had to do some shopping anyway. Fortunately, got home safely with most of what I needed.
Gary's brother is still in ICU but seems to be doing better than expected. It's a thirty mile drive from here, tough in the fog. Gary's mom is here with us, and they went over this morning and will go again tomorrow.
Hunting for buried sheet music. A discussion on
kaysho's LJ brought up the song title "Everybody's had you but me" which I sang in a local Chicago musical revue back in 1979. I know I have the sheet music for the songs I did, but our music collection is vast and mostly arranged by a system of Gary's devising rather than my own. So far, can't find it, though I did find some publicity shots from that long ago show, including one taken while I was singing that particular song. It's amazing how young I look, and how skinny (to the point of being gaunt.) It's also depressing to look at those cast photos and realize how many of my fellow performers are dead now. And the set designer as well, who was a dear friend but quite a bit older than the rest of us. At least he didn't go of HIV complications as so many of the others did.
If I can find the lyrics, I'll post them with the photos. If not, the photos alone will appear in a day or two.
