Adding in the comments made under your previous journal names moves you up to 25th place, just between farhoug and zetawoof. Of course then we have to do the same for saythename who likewise has other previous names in the list. That puts him up in the top 10 and slides you down one.

Speaking of apples, Dave and I made the apple & onion pot roast from your cookbook for New Year's Eve, and it was incredible. Very tasty, and we ate huge amounts of it. We did it exactly like the recipe, so that means all compliments to you. :) We matched it up with a pasta dish (light on garlic, it was), salad, and a bottle of Yellow-Tail Shiraz, and it was a wonderful night.

Years ago I quit the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) when I figured out it was not the quality of the detail or workmanship but the sheer amount, often of very poor quality and very amateurishly done. Quantity over quality was a hallmark in fact, to the point that contests were won and the losers often went home with tails tucked between legs in spite the sheer beauty and workmanship of their model contest entrees were vastly superiour to the ones who got the best prizes.

What a bunch of bullshit.

Sorry but how I feel about many things. Lowest common demonator seems dominant in today's society. TV shows, music, movies, etc... all reflects this.

Dare to be different, even. Certainly dare not excell.

I certainly don't post this thing each year to chide people for not commenting. It's more a curiosity to see if my impressions about who is chattiest are accurate.

Weren't you number one or two last time? Seems to me you were. Look at the size of your lead. That's a lot for someone else to catch up on, even if you slow down a bit.

It's rather like those scoring charts for BOINC, actually. Some of the people near the top haven't turned in a new work unit for months, but they're still up there because they already had a huge lead.

That's normal. Notice that I checked the box to omit my own comments from the count, because I'd be number one in mine too. I respond in some way to nearly every comment, so of course my own count is the highest.
