After I thought I'd escaped the unpleasant cold that everyone else at work has had, and Gary had over New Years' weekend, I think I'm getting something now. Just in time for the coldest weekend of the year, probably. And Gary will be in Chicago tomorrow, so I have no choice but to be outdoors taking care of the critters. I don't begrudge that, I love them too much to neglect them, but I may be really paying for it by tomorrow night.

Not yet terribly cold here, but tomorrow night is supposed to be the worst. I think I'll go to bed now...

You can't escape disease, not on a planet of living things. You can merely adapt to it- not necessarily by choice either... I suddenly feel like I'm talking down to you *ponders in a bemused sense*

You can avoid the worst of it, usually. For whatever reason, I'm usually lucky with respiratory stuff. The trouble is, when I do get it, I feel it that much more severely.

I'm constantly exposed to stuff, but becase of that- and my immune system- I rarely get sick. When I do, I'm usually laid low for abot 24 to 72 hours- depending on the bug's strength.
