Indeed. I don't think there are any true bears native to sub-Saharan Africa.

None that I know of. The spectacled bear is American. But isn't there an Asian bear (probably endangered) called the honey eater or something of that sort?

Of the four choices here, I'd have guessed black bear for you too. Those are the only bears I've seen in the wild, and I agree they are playful and clever, and not quick to anger unless threatened or protecting their young. Those traits seem fitting enough. :D

No, seriously, they are playful and intelligent, not as aggressive or irritable as most other bears, and usually not as large as the other three possibilities in that quiz.

On the other hoof, as I discovered once years ago, if you are in a VW bug and surrounded by a dozen of them, they do look awfully big. I started to wonder if they were looking around for the can opener.
