Argos has teeth now. I decided to try for a moving jaw after all, and I think I can get it to work. I'll have to build some more rigidity into the head framework, but both upper and lower teeth are set in place now and the lower jaw works. Getting the whole thing adjusted so I can both breathe and make the mouth work may yet be tricky, but I think it will succeed. Ears must go on next so I can see the overall shape before placing the eyes and starting the fur.
There was heavy frost this morning north of Kishwaukee Valley Rd. but it still hasn't reached us. We're in a pretty sheltered location because of all the tall trees. Last to freeze in the fall, but also last to thaw out in the spring it seems. Unless the weather warms up again, though, it has to be only a matter of days until the freeze gets here.
Enough for tonight, best not to try to work when I'm tired. Maybe I can get some photos in the daylight tomorrow. It's ugly, but functional. Fur will cover a multitude of sins, to paraphrase a bit. ;p
