Fennec surprised me, sort of. But the desert god got even in the night.

*smirks* I'm sitting here trying to wrap my brain around the concept of how a character you created and are writing about could surprise you. :P

Ah well, this is why I am not a writer or an artist. :)

Congrats on the progress.

My characters surprise me all the time. Once they start to develop, they speak on their own, act on their own, and sometimes become downright cantankerous about it. "No, I would never do that. Now listen, here's what really happens..."

I'm not alone in this experience. Many other writers find themselves in the same situation.

I sort of get that in that I can relate it to how Storm was on the Mucks. It was me but not really me and at times would say or do things that I never would.

That's it. I'm sure that's the same source of inspiration. While we try to convince ourselves that our brains are synchronized and always operating in unison, the truth is there can be a lot going on without our conscious awareness or control. XD

*chuckles* Oh I know full well there is a lot of darkness and evil that lurks underneath my white and shiney unicorn facade. Time and actions on the Muck proved that. There were instances where it took me to very dark and dangerous places, impacted my moods severly in real life and proved that I was capable of terrible things...at least as far as acting them out in a fantasy world. Now mind you, these instances were not all that common but they did happen.

Well, I have trouble with evil. If you read my stuff, you'll find that the putative villain is invariably misguided or misunderstood. In RP, I have never been able to pull off the truly evil or malevolent character. If that's in my head, I can't bring it to the surface at all. What I found though, was that Altivo on WildSpirits could be much more heroic and exercise a lot more leadership than I thought I could personally. The Tivo on Taps or FM never has to do that and consequently doesn't. The original Altivo, though, was forced into it and stood up to the demand.
