Big thank you hugs to miktar for his birthday portrait of me:

Maybe makes me look a little better than I really do, but I'm not complaining at all. That little hint of some donkey ancestry that I drop now and then almost shows through here. What Mik has captured that I really like, though, is my good nature. Sometimes I lose it, but not often, and it makes me feel all warm and murry inside that he could see it and show it like this.

Also on FA, in case you want to comment or fave it there. Miktar is a good artist and does commissions too.

Mmmm... I wonder whether, if furries and anthropomorphic animals were real, that'd be a standard procedure in plastic surgery - kind of like how breast enlargement etc. is for humans now. ^_^

Well... Just as I'd never use cosmetic surgery except to repair an injury that caused disfigurement, so as an anthropomorphic I'd probably feel the same.

Of course the nice thing about fantasies is that we can change them to suit ourselves, and I'm already thinking about the next fursuit, which will probably be Jake, the mule boy from my 2006 book, Taking Flight. He definitely has donkey ears. XD

It's really, really cold here today, as predicted. From a high yesterday of 50°F/10°C to today's expected high of 5°F/-15°C is quite a shock. There's a stiff wind too, so it feels even colder, like -15F/-26C.

I don't think it makes you look a little better than you really do, I think it makes you look how I see you, in the context of what a fursona really is, which is idealistic.

Though I'm glad the accidental donkey traits I couldn't avoid actually ended up being eerily appropriate.

Then again, I didn't exactly have RL photos to work from, which is really what I enjoy doing most - translation from RL to fursona. So for this one, I decided to just wing it. Glad it worked out.

Yes, Miktar is talented. He's very perceptive too, and sometimes his insights come out in the artwork, as they did here.

Miktar...MIKTAR! OMG I remember him from when he was doing his awsum Unnatural But True comic, back in the late 90's, early 2000's. Did you ever see that? There was alot of heart in that series, alot of himself in it. It's nice to see he's still around.
