No, I mean the gifts. If you remember that flash thingie back at the beginning of the month, with the Christmas tree and the gifts, well, I received an embarrassingly large number of virtual presents there. I honestly waited until today to see what they were, except where people couldn't wait and told me in advance. It was delightful fun, though in many cases I was thankful too that the gift was only virtual. Cars and ponies are rarely a freebie. The cost of adding either to my current collection would be staggering, though I love the thought behind it.

Valent -- The pony, real or mechanical, is always appreciated. You know me well, and are generaous too. Thank you.

Jafra -- A vacation, something there are never too many of in my opinion. Perhaps one where I could visit you and get to know you better? That would be nice indeed. Thanks for the thought.

Tango -- A pony hug, perhaps including the pony. A lovely thought, especially in all this snow. Thanks so much.

Vimsig -- Socks, handknitted no doubt. There is no better gift, unless it is mittens. You're so generous. Thanks.

Storm -- A horse. After all, who could have too many? I agree, though my resources are limited. Thank you, uni.

SoanoS -- A book, Linda Kohanov's The Tao of Equus. That one's indeed on my wish list, so special hugs to you.

Zenicurean -- A shot of tequila? Mmm. *makes Margaritas, and offers to share them with you* Thanks, O wise one. :)

Moose -- A book, Knitting Answer Book. Yup, potentially very handy, and I don't have it. Thanks and *hugs*.

ECM -- Lingerie? *snickers* Boy I'd have a hard time fitting into that. *saves it for when he's playing a mare* Thanks.

IceLeopard -- A vacation. Yes, I could use that right now, even if I just sat home for a week or two. *hugs* Thanks.

Schnee -- Fruitcake! Yay! You actually remembered that Gary and I like it. Thank you.

Kid -- Lamborghini. Whew, now this is definitely out of my class. The insurance alone would bankrupt me, but thanks.

Rex -- Actually, my favorite sweaters are wearing out. I can use this. Thanks and *hugs*.

SongCoyote -- As clever at gift-giving as he is at playing tricks. A LiteBrite? *gets totally distracted by it* Hugs.

Alaskawolf -- A car. Does it come with mechanical advice and assistance? You could move down here. Thanks!

Marzolan -- Bag of fiberfill stuffing, in case some gets pounced out of me. Too clever, Marz. Thanks and hugs.

Avon -- Stilton cheese. *gives you a big hug and insists on sharing it with you* Nom. You're a sweetheart, thanks.

Calydor -- Laptop. You're right. From what I hear, more likely to get burned hooves from typing. Thanks .XD

Gabriel -- Chia pet. Uniquely amusing, and commercially useless as you point out. But I like unique things. Thanks.

RRW -- Soda. Perhaps an original bottle of root beer from the steam powered Lakeshore Ltd. of the 1930s? Priceless!

Casey -- Fruit cake. Well, there's never too much in our opinion. Thanks for the thought.

Duraji -- Vacation to one of my books' worlds. Now this is really an interesting idea. Thanks very much.

Flamekist -- Book on lampwork bead making. Tempting and fascinating. Thank you!

Sinopa -- Guitar Hero. I think I'd lose the duel, even though I can play a real one. :) Thanks, though.

Equus -- Mistletoe. Well, I know what to do about that. *kisses* Thanks.

Cabcat -- Citizen wrist watch. I love watches and clocks, so this is much appreciated. Thanks, kitty.

T_H_Squirrel -- Cash. The most adaptable of gifts! Thank you, I won't just buy pony feed.

Jet Black -- Super Nintendo. I hope you'll give me lessons on what to do with it. Thank you.

Silver -- Frappuccino. *gets wired* Oooh, better nail my hooves down. Thanks.

Kaotic Skunk -- Pet rock. A cute blast from the past. *knits it a sweater* Thank you.

RaNdOm FuR -- "Gun" for PS2. Well, this I admit I don't know what to do with, but thanks.

Silver -- Rolex watch. Oooh, shiny! Thank you.

*writes you all thank you notes on pony stationery*

You're welcome! ^^ If you ever come to Germany, I'll have to treat you to some Stollen - despite what Wikipedia says, it's not actually fruitcake, but it's quite nice, and I think you'd like that as well. :)

We actually received a stollen this year from a good friend. Home made from her mother-in-law's recipe. I intend to ask for that recipe so I can try making it myself. Her version was a bit heavy on the nuts for my taste, though Gary liked it. She included currants that had been soaked in rum or liqueur, and I did like that.

Glædelig jul, stallion. And laptops only burn your fingertips for half a minute after you open them from hibernation - at least mine does. Your lap, on the other hand ...

Yes, there's something wrong with that design philosophy in my opinion. Laptops that overheat so badly that an external cooling device is needed? I'm just not impressed, guys.

I am interested, however, in the minimalist approach of the "netbook" computer. They obviously haven't got it right yet, but it could be workable. The thing is, in my case, I can't stand those tiny cheap keyboards.

You've been busy, and not always in a good way I think.

But you haven't missed this:

*Christmas HUG*

Mmmm, that was nice. <3

Well, it was something I would be interested in reading myself as well. :)

*hugs* Merry Christmas. *frames and puts the special thank you note on special display on his wall*

I have another of her books and she's quite interesting.

So, what do you think of it? Worth reading for someone who generally doesn't like books?

That's a hard one for me to answer. The concept of not liking books is too difficult for me to get my head around. ;p

The one I have is Way of the Horse: Equine Archetypes for Self-discovery which is a sort of Shamanic mixture with tarot cards. It comes with a deck of pretty horse pictures that represent various personality and lifestyle elements. You have to be willing to read sort of "New Age" mystical stuff.
