Cache found

Went back to the site of the geocache "Just relax" (GC1DAVT) and armed with a description of the container I was able to locate it. It was out of place, lying in the snow nearby. Because we had heavy snow during Christmas vacation, the park has been swarming with kids and sleds. My guess is that one of them found it and instead of putting it back in the hiding place just dropped it in the snow. Most of the snow has melted now and it was visible once I knew what to look for.

I went ahead and logged it as a "find" since I did look in the right place yesterday. Wouldn't have found it without the added information from the cache owner, though, so it's really only half a success. My curiosity is piqued now, and I'm going to have to try a few more. There are plenty right around here, no problem with that.

Probably needs hiding again. How was the cache?

Lots of nice stuff in there, or raided by some obnoxious little sh** who has no idea what to do with it all and throws it away?

Anyway, I am glad you found it. I hope you find them all. :)

Find them all? There are more than 700,000 now. ;p

I don't think this one ever contained anything other than a log sheet. It's in a plastic case about 4x3x0.5 cm, so you could hardly put anything else in there other than a coin or something similar. These tiny caches are called "micros" and they are indeed minuscule.

I'm sure my understanding of the correct location was right, and I put it back where it should be. It was painted to camouflage perfectly there.

4,3x0,5cm? Almost like a memory card case then :P

Maybe attach a small picture of your fursona? :D

I hope it is in it's rightful place now.
Good luck for finding more :)

In fact, it probably *is* a memory card case for something the size of SD or SMC. It has the log sheet and a small magnet inside and that's all. The magnet lets it stick to the steel frame where it is concealed. It was spray painted silver to make it less obvious, which works pretty well.

There's another one here in the same park, but it's farther from the library and I haven't gone down there yet.

Nice. :) Incidentally, I bought myself a 8 GB Compact Flash card for my EasyADF PCMCIA Compact Flash reader that plugs into my Amiga 1200 nicely. :)

Well, I'm not sure yet. Though this first one was conveniently close, it was hardly stellar. ;p
