Still cold beyond belief. Winds weren't as bad as predicted, but daytime highs in the negatives are too cold for me. The thermometer is taking another polar bear plunge now, well below zero and dropping. Fortunately we still have lots of wood for the stove.

Made good progress in the weaving class, finishing up the first (purple) motif and changing colors (burgundy) for a mirror image repeat. I've decided what to title the piece: "Purple Onions make me Cry" because it uses purple and will fulfill this year's challenge to weave something with the color you like least, and the repeating motif looks like a group of nine red onions sliced vertically.

I think I'll go to bed where it's warm.

Okay, I can understand, but its not so bad.

As for cold, its so cold -

*audience roars* "How cold is it Johnny!?"

Okay, enough of Carson.

"I was just getting started! Its so cold you could
stick your tounge on your tounge."

Okay, okay...enough!

It's not so much that I dislike purple (at one time I rather did like it) as that it has been so much overused that it's worn out. I think it's that poem "When I am an old woman I shall wear purple" or something. Knitters and weavers seem to make more purple stuff than anything else. Go to a show and you get sick of purple in a hurry.

Yeah, it's cold. I don't remember anything like this since 1984. That time it lasted most of a week. This time we're supposed to start improving today and get back into the 20s by tomorrow.

Only -12.3C here, so it is not too bad. However, my car didn't like it at all. The windshield just cracked.
