...how long it will take for green stuff to begin growing in my mane. Or if I'm likely to catch the dreaded rain-rot. Another inch of rain in the last 24 hours. The dry creek isn't dry any more. The nicely colored foliage that was evident on Wednesday and Thursday is mostly lying on the ground after almost 36 hours of continuous rain. Now the winds are picking up to remove the rest of it I think.

The bright side, if there is one, is that with the leaves off the trees, radio reception and transmission from this location improves. Heck, we might even be able to receive television (though there's nothing on it that we watch anyway.)

What with a canceled trip and a day off work, I was lazy today. Spent much time reading, spinning, and yawning. It was so gloomy and wet outside, I didn't want to go anywhere or do much of anything. I felt sleepy much of the day, but resisted the urge to nap because I knew it would mean I'd have trouble sleeping tonight. Gary got back home late this afternoon, which helps. I don't sleep well when I'm alone. After more than a quarter century of togetherness, I guess that makes sense.

The whole weekend lies ahead, and I have nothing planned because I wasn't going to be here. It's like an unexpected vacation in place of an expected one.

Oh, I snagged a cute looking plush off the internet, I think. It's actually from the gift shop of a wildlife charity (Snow Leopard Trust) and looks very cute in the photo.

Sounds like the weather here today, and my mood at work most of the day today. Including the urge to nap, to the point where I think I may have sleepwalked my way through the meeting I led this afternoon ;-) Weather's supposed to be pretty much the same on Saturday, so, since I don't have any weekend plans, I think I'll have a lazy day indoors tomorrow.

A very cute plush, indeed! From the photo, it looks like the plush is the 20" variant of the Wild Republic Cuddlekins snow leopard. I have several of those guys in my menagerie, and they're quite sweet. If it is the same plush, I'm sure you'll be pleased when yours arrives :-)

I'll let you know if it has any identifying tags, but you're right, there's a strong resemblance to the Wild Republic snow leopards. I did think it looked like your big ones.

Now I'm snooping around looking at Wild Republic wuffs. Someone stop me, I've already spent more than enough this month on weaving tools. ;p

*grin* When it comes to Wild Republic wuffs , I'm probably the last person who would try to dissuade you from giving one a good home ;-)

Heh. Well, for the moment I just put one on my wishlist. I think I like the Cuddlekins wolf better than the Natural Poses wolf, but they are both good looking.

They are both very good looking and worth getting. ;-) But, if I had to choose only one, it'd be an easy choice to go with the 30" Cuddlekins wolf. They provide significantly larger wolf snuggles, and, because they don't have Left Leg Syndrome like the Natural Poses wolf, they're comfortably snuggleable in multiple orientations.

I see what you mean about the natural poses version. I have a plush donkey posed sort of like that and though he'd be otherwise snuggable, I end up with whiskers in my face and hooves in my tummy unless I make him sleep with his tail to my head. Well, yes, equines do that sometimes but it seems sorta weird just the same. >:D

Keep those hooves clean and dry!

Cloudy, chilly day here as well. Food shopping for home and for my mom, child to dentist, and general lethargy (wonderful 1st day of vacation!). Supposed to pour tomorrow: great baking day.

Nice snow-leopard plush. :o)

*checks his supply of anti-thrush medication*

Yeah, the weather continues. For another week at least if we believe the forecasts. I want to make comfort food. Soup and meat loaf and mashed potatoes and bread...

No sun for at least another week according to the forecast. Yuck.

Vixen nuzzles help, though. *big hug*

I'm going to weave and spin, weave and spin the rest of the weekend away I think.
