Noted also, I'm an Ox by the Chinese system, and this week begins the year of the ox. Could be interesting... or not.

It's cold and dark. Gary's doing homework for one of his geography graduate classes. I'm going to bed I think.

Hmm. They say ox and horse don't get along. It seems to me that you and I get along pretty well. Couple of years ago I did one of these that was for the Chenese horoscope and it had a quiz. It told me that I was born under the ox but that I was more like a horse. Duh.

I of course do not believe that asteral bodies can influence a person. But it's always interesting to read about these things. Earth Horses are supposed to be calmer than their firey brethren of course. ;)

Well, yes. The sense in astrology, if it has any, is not from any notion of distant chunks of matter influencing our lives or personalities, but rather in the connection those chunks of matter have as time keepers and cyclical measuring devices.

It makes sense to me, for instance, that the personality of a baby who spends his/her first few months swathed in heavy blankets against a North Atlantic or Scandinavian winter could well be different from that of one exposed during those early months to the warmth of the Mediterranean summer. Some small number of astrological ideas do seem to have a statistical basis when examined, but I suspect seasons and climates, and the human cultures they engender are the real source of the differences.

I dunno. Somewhat atypical for a classic Sagittarian, but I'd need to see a full chart to explain that maybe.

And the way they drew the Capricorn in the top right there it even looks like a snake. The Chinese snake is supposed to be a good sign though. The rat is the unpleasant one.

Would you mind terribly if I delete this comment and repost it with correct result? o.O

Or shall we just pretend that is a sagittarius like yours? :P

Yeah, it's sun sign astrology. The junk they print in the newspaper. Even serious believers in astrology will tell you that sun sign alone is inadequate for any kind of analysis.

Uh-oh. That explains something. For some reason, many Leo types seem to draw me like a magnet... yourself included. Works with all the fire signs, but Aries and fellow Sagittarians aren't quite so definitive.
