Enough...

It's that W day again. Fog, rain, and possibly snow to come. Drove 40 miles to a library meeting only to allow myself to be once again enraged by the short-sightedness of one particular director in our consortium. For some reason, it's always that one. The problem isn't quite as large as I had feared, but still is going to require major effort to correct it.

Now the library is dead, which is good, really. But that also means I have to struggle to stay awake until 8 and then drive home safely. Yuck.

And I, too, know what it can be when someone in the management is making short-sighted decisions and ends up causing a mess.

Heh. I had an orphan book last night. That's when a book is returned, and it has all the markings and a barcode on it, yet it isn't in the database and can't be checked in. Usually it's because it was taken without being checked out, and kept for so long that we decided it was lost or stolen and canceled the records. This one, though, had been improperly cataloged, so it was in there and not completely finished. (Not my fault. The type font on the label tells me who did it.)
