Varous stuff, now with meme

This has been one busy week. I guess people are coming out of hibernation (or else their burrows have been flooded by the thaw.) Wednesday's door counter was 1117 (compared to a norm of around 600) and today's was 960.

Got the PowerEdge server mounted in the relay rack. Having the right hardware really does make a difference. It was awkward putting the brackets together in sometimes tight spaces, but it's in place now, sturdy, and running. I did remember to change the IP address and activate the SSH daemon before removing it from my workbench, so I was able to continue with the configuration process after moving it, without having to go into the mech room with a monitor and keyboard on a cart. ;p Best of all, the jet engine level noise from the fans is now where no one has to listen to it. Back there you hardly notice it because of all the other fans and things running.

Nearly 50F again today, and the fog was really dense this morning. Roads are all washboarded and potholed, and in this economy I have a feeling they aren't going to be getting fixed quickly. More rain this weekend, possible cloudbursts at unpredictable locations and intervals. Gary's mom is coming out tomorrow so as to be here for a performance on Sunday, which means we need to clean house at least a bit.

Dang, I'm kinky... Or "Very Kinky" according to the test with a 39% purity rating. Fortunately, Trixstir already knew that when she married me (I think that was part of why she married me!) so it's all good. :)
