altivo: Plush horsey (plushie)

Misbehaved computer from yesterday rescued from its own folly, at least for the moment. Crash appears to have been an overheat condition. Power supply fan is dead, must get replacement.

Much to get done this weekend, weather looks unpromising, though. Fifty two strawberry plants arrived in the mail yesterday, and they need to find a home in the ground ASAP. Snow predicted by Monday, though. Hey, it's April, enough already.

Bed now.

I've got a garden full of newly-sprouted plants, the back deck loaded with potted plants, and three giant houseplants on the front porch. April 1st was our official "last frost" date. I just found out that we're getting yet another freeze on Tuesday and Wednesday. *sigh* Time to drag everything back inside for another couple of days.

Heh. "Last frost" here isn't listed until May 15 in most sources. For tender stuff like tomato plants and squashes, I wait until June 1.

Well, we still have snow on the ground. I have no land to plant any stuff, but I would have to be patient. :D

I swear, you and Altivo must have antifreeze in your veins! I get chilled just thinking about the kind of cold you guys put up with.

Well... That is what Finland does to you eventually. :P

+25C is too hot for me. You probably think it is cold. :D

25C makes me start thinking about heading out to the beach. When we start hitting 37C I'll start thinking about taking a dip in the Chattahoochee River which is still about 10C even in a heat wave. Brrrr!

WEll, here I would probably go to the beach, too. At +37C I think I would stay hidden in my flat, with all the table and ceiling fans blowing full speed and covered by ice packs, and have several liters of icy drinks at hand.

I can't handle heat for long periods of time. Sauna on the other hand is nice. :)

Oooooo! I love saunas! Give me a toasty sauna and a good book and I'm a happy biker.

Hehe, in that case, I think you would love Finland. There are plenty in here. Except you might want to bring your own book, the books here probably look unintelligible for you. Which they usually are. Finnish literature is not exactly great.

Aww, don't be silly. Daytime highs are generally in the 50-55F range now. It's just that it drops down into the high 20s in the wee hours of the morning. Everyone with good sense is snuggled in their warm blankets at that hour anyway.

That's still on the chilly side for this Cajun transplant. I still miss my southern Louisiana beaches!
