...what day of the week it was. Starting at 5:30 this morning when I realized that I had forgotten to measure out nine balls of 250 yards of yarn each to be exchanged with other participants in the coverlet project at the weaving guild. So I spent the better part of an hour before breakfast cranking Shetland yarn through a counter and onto a ball winder. After breakfast I went to the guild meeting where I got to try to find each of the nine recipients and swap yarn with them. I managed to unload seven of my nine balls, but only got five in return. The other two "owe" me. The two remaining people were not in attendance today.

Then rush to work, which was a pretty typical Wednesday. Saw the stretch of road that was closed yesterday. The utility poles had been replaced. The collapsed barn is in evidence, but its distance from the power lines makes it difficult to believe that anything short of a tornado or hurricane could have lifted that much debris over such a distance. In any case, it rained all day, but only lightly. No more blackouts or flickers today.

Boss mentioned that she has been trying to make sense of Miyazaki's films without success, and I had to tell her that I feel the same. I think she must have started watching them because her grandchildren are old enough be asking to see them now.

Snow on the forecast for tonight, but it can't last. tomorrow's temperatures are to be in the 40s, even though additional snow may fall in the morning.

Somewhere in all this, I need to get some sleep, like maybe right now.

Snow on the forecast for tonight, but it can't last.

I know we can still get snow, and have, in April, but with temps in the mid-eighties yesterday it's not something I really want to see. My youngest is an April child, and the day of his birth we had to fight through almost a foot of wet snow to get out of the driveway and head to the hospital.

I'd personally like the temps to get down to the sixties where I think they belong.
