Well, sorta. Dribbling is probably more like it. And cold. I wasn't expecting this sudden temperature drop, April or no. I went to work without a jacket. Things grew very slow and dead at work around 7 pm, a full hour before closing. I didn't realize that the weather had shifted so much, though, until it was time to close up and go home. Tomorrow morning should be quiet. In fact, I may be the only one there.
Home now, thank goodness, where the heating and cooling works properly and it isn't raining indoors at least.
That discussion in Hartree's LJ from yesterday continues to breathe, but not fire. All has remained very civilized throughout. We've ranged through many topics, all loosely connected (very loosely in some cases.)
Farrier came this morning to trim pony feet. Everyone behaved and he complimented their feet. Even Tess is in much better shape than she was a year or two ago. My excuse for not riding her is gone, and now I need to go through basic ground work with her before I'd even dare put a saddle on. I think it's been at least five years since I really rode her, what with the grass founder and then contracted heels and dry frogs.
With that, I think, off to bed perchance to dream...

Date: 2010-04-22 02:19 pm (UTC)Tess is bored, and needs something to do. I'm lazy and need the exercise. Unfortunately, she can get pretty spirited at times, so I have to start up slowly and make sure she remembers the rules.
