Not the day itself, which was unusually hectic what with the farrier in the morning and then summer reading getting off with a roar this week, as well as the consortial library directors meeting at our site this afternoon. However, after 7 pm we were almost deserted. And when I got home, Gary had made a feast of Indian food: tandoori chicken, hummus, curried peppers, dal and red beans, with rice and wine. Lovely. Leftovers too.

This is a sudden new interest for him. He got into Thai for a while and got quite good at several dishes that we like. Now it looks like he's headed to India, and I won't object. I pointed out to him the fact that my vegetarian cookbooks have lots of Indian recipes, and have translated the ingredients into English so you know what to get.
