Oh I've seen sun and I've seen rain...

Beautiful blue sky morning with a light breeze degenerated into gray clouds and steamy showers by late afternoon. Now we're in for another week of thunderstorms. Normally by this time of year things have started to dry out. The mosquitoes are ferocious.
Actually this is pretty much the pattern we saw last year as well. Not a very happy thought.
Managed to pry the swollen batteries out of two more UPSes. Hooked them up to weak but functioning battery and both appear to be operational, so back to the library with them and I'll order new batteries for both units. I have good uses for both.
All this and spinning too. Filled a bobbin with fine single ply wool while watching a documentary on lighthouses (one of the tapes I borrowed from the library yesterday.)
Otherwise a quiet holiday. Not a lot of fireworks noise, thank goodness. I used to hate this time when we lived in the city. It was like continuous thunder for three days.
