Air conditioning fixed. The underground geothermal loop needed repressurizing. Second time this has happened in eleven years, I guess that's not too bad a maintenance record. Also a mouse had chewed through a wire, or perhaps a chipmunk. Wire was repaired, and means of entry closed off with window screen. It's cool and dry again in the house.

Our dog Sarah had surgery today to remove a suspicious lump on her foreleg. She's not very happy about having her leg bandaged and splinted, and I suspect is in some pain too, though she's been quiet since getting a pain killer (prescribed) after dinner. They also cleaned her teeth, which means no crunchy food for a few days. That part she won't mind. Being on limited food and water for tonight, however, isn't so popular.

Looks like a busy weekend, but at least they aren't suggesting more rain. Just hot and humid, I guess. And that's most of the news here.

Ah, I hope Sarah will heal up again soon.

How old is she?

Ah, that's good. *smiles* And ten is certainly still not THAT old yet.

Hope Sarah's doing okay!

I had lumps which had been chewed raw removed from one of the dogs, twice. I don't know what she felt as animals just seem to suck it up and deal with it. I did this for her to improve her quality of life; the lumps were cancer and it was terminal, but she couldn't have open sores with Spring coming that year what with the gnats and flies. I also worried about predators getting wind of her. It gave her four or five extra months :o)
