I believe our poster child culprit at the library will be surprised the next time he tries his shenanigans. I changed all the passwords this morning. I am going to require staff to use a lesser account to do what they need to do, as well. They will no longer have the master password at all. Userful, happily, makes it possible to change these passwords in one place for all the stations involved. Unhappily, though, you can't tell when all those workstations will actually "check in" and get their new instructions from the master server. It's supposed to happen within 4 hours, but I'm not convinced that it always does. Consequently, I went around the library and forced every machine to update its profile from the server. Then I checked to make sure that the old passwords don't work any more. *insert evil horse grin here*

I wish I could be there to see his reaction when he finds out that his tricks don't work any more.

In other news, the vet came to give a couple of boosters to all three horses, and to draw blood for their annual Coggins test. They were all good, even Tess, though in her particular case it was the bribery that did it. She got most of an apple and some peppermints for standing still.

I'm pleased to report that all three are now svelte and healthy. The doc approved their weight loss and congratulated us on getting them back in line. "Feel the ribs but don't see them" is her rule of thumb. The boys were the same weight, which is unusual, at about 800 each. Tess came in at 888, which may be the lightest she has been since before having her last foal (gosh, can it be seven years ago?)

A clever kid wouldn't have made it so obvious, but like many people they end up being greedy and giving themselves away.

I haven't seen him or heard any more about it. Tomorrow I'll be running the usage logs for the week, though, and I'll find out if he's been back.
