This is the most exhausting holiday of the year, I think. And for that reason, far from my favorite. We did get everything done as we were supposed to do.

Except for my writing. I managed about 500 words in the car going, and another 700 tonight. Backsliding is no good. Four days left to squeeze out 16,000 words. Still trying, though.

Heh. In the font this is using, it looked like you were waving "porn-porns."

I "can" do it, but it remains to be seen whether I "will."

Nothing bigger is on the agenda for the weekend, though.

Good luck! That's a cool four thou per day. I've given up on making the deadline, but will finish the book if I can.

I have done five thousand a day in short stretches before. It can be done. I dunno whether I have the concentration for it, but I'm still pushing.

Stick with it! The story is shaping up nicely. Less distraction and more action? ;o)

My writing isn't often about action. It's about introspection.

As for shaping up, well, the bits you've seen have shaped nicely. There's a huge amount of connective material needed for them to fall properly into place.

I wonder why NaNoWriMo is in November, myself. I always have too much going on and it's been daunting to squeeze in a 50k word novel too. But there probably isn't a good month and I know the project is about getting started if you've been saying "Someday I'll write a novel...."

Anyway, what I've read has been well-written and interesting, so I wish you success with the deadline and look forward to reading more whenever it appears.

Thanks. It's been an interesting trip this year. As of this morning, I'm only 5000 words off the pace. If I can keep up yesterday's rate through the weekend, I'll hit 50K a day early. Come from behind horsey finishes race after all. ;p
