Busy day off, sorta

altivoBecause Gary was in the throes of a final project for school, and he was really nice about doing extra stuff while I was novel-writing in November, I took today off work to do the chores and stuff and leave him as much free time as possible.
We did have a guy come to inspect the ground loop of our heat pump. He needs to come back with additional tools, it turns out. But he checked some things out, said the system seems to be operating well (which it is, right now.) Opened the outdoor unit and it was all full of earth dug up apparently by chipmunks. Same problem last time someone was here to work on it. Gary put hardware cloth in the bottom and weighted it with big rocks but that doesn't seem to have worked.
Cleaned up some of the clutter created during NaNoWriMo, played around with the wireless router settings, did barn chores. Supper is ready but Gary's late from school and didn't call. Hope everything is OK.
And that's most of the news I think, except for the big snow they're saying we'll be getting 24 hours from now. I'll believe it when it happens.
