Out of the deep freeze...
Feb. 8th, 2011 10:22 pmI cry to thee: "Why? What did we do?"
Enough winter. I've had it. My patience has run out. The ground hog did not see his shadow, it's time for this nonsense to end. The last time I remember snow being this deep everywhere has to have been after the snows of 1979, the ones that dumped Michael Bilandic out of the Chicago mayor's office and put Jane Byrne in his place.
Anyway, it's time to go to bed. With extra blankets and plushies. I wish I had a hot water bottle.

The Arctic Ocean is warming, polar ice is melting, sea level is rising, all of which increase precipitation and lower temperatures in continental interiors. An overall temperature rise doesn't mean it gets warmer everywhere right away.
