Whee! So much for winter being over with. Heavy rain turning to freezing rain, then sleet, then snow. Up to five inches of accumulation, they say, all by rush hour tomorrow morning. Forget ground hogs, that must be March coming in like a lion, just a day early.

Not much weaving today due to other chores, cooking, etc. Sunday is usually baking day and we were making bread, pie, and a dinner with leftovers to provide another meal during the week.

Going to try for an early night. Neither of us slept well last night, so maybe we can make it up.

It snowed in San Francisco for the first time in decades. Its been snowy here too, though it thawed Sunday, its expected to snow again Monday.

Yes, I heard that. Unfortunately, the wingnuts use this sort of thing as an excuse to claim that "global warming" is a lie. Doubly unfortunately, it may well prove to be a result of warming in the arctic, which raises sea levels and increases precipitation in some areas.

It is warming up here for thank goodness. I could really do with not having to heat my home.

We haven't used the wood stove here in more than a week, but it keeps snowing. Just the night time temperatures are significantly warmer.

Oh, and I should add the fact that all that supposed precipitation for last night did not materialize. We had enough ice to require scraping car windshields this morning, but the roads were fine. No snow, no heavy rain even though they've been warning us about the heavy rain for days. We're back to the usual "crying wolf" every couple of days, it seems.

All kinds. We rarely buy bread, never buy pies. Yesterday's bread was honey-granola, and the pie was a winter squash pie (similar to pumpkin but made from an acorn squash.)

The 403's on FR were some sort of server problem. Alex had already notified the hosting site before I was up this morning and it seems to be fixed now.
