More trouble than they're worth. For whatever reason, when my card was renewed this time they completely changed the card number. This means I have to go around to a dozen places that have it on file and correct the card number, etc. It also means I no longer have the number memorized and it will take me a while to correct that. It's been the same for at least eight years, now it's completely different.

I suppose next they'll insist on changing my bank account number. That one's been the same for more than 25 years, I'm sure.

Gloomy all day, still heavy overcast, thunderstorms expected again after midnight and for most of tomorrow and tomorrow night, apparently. Things could be floating here soon.

On the bright side, daffodils are popping up, six inches tall in some areas. No flowers just yet, but soon I'm sure. A few crocuses are open already. We're going to plant some peas and lettuce this week, I think.

What you expect more on a Monday? Too bad, that's all there is tonight.

Here the crocuses are all but over, and the daffodils are out in places, and will soon be out in my garden.

Last time my card number was changed it was in response to some online store being compromised in a big way. A nuisance when it happens...

Over here they've had some checks imposed on the ever-rising credit limit thing, but it's still not enough to keep un-wise individuals out of trouble, or really help limit fraud much...

I only know the last four digits of my main credit cards, the one I use for debit and the other I use to accumulate debt.

I requested a new number from Bank of America when I couldn't trust my ISP of 11 years to stop automatically billing me when I dropped their service. The company had changed owners three times, starting as IDS, and the only account 'number' I could give them to look me up was my tj@ids.net name. They said they'd look into it,insisting I had a number and not just a nick, and I recalled that once in the past when issued a different credit card number from the bank I received notices from the IDS billing department. So I changed the number and never heard from IDS again (the account remained active for three months after my call, too).

Our crocus just began to bloom, and the daffys are striving to get free of the weeds.
