Weather or not
Apr. 19th, 2011 08:55 pmIt's weather all the same. Rain, hail, lightning, loud thunder, gusty winds, and they say it will snow later tonight. I thought spring began a month ago. This is getting pretty tedious. The juncos were back at the library this morning, too.
Home alone in the midst of all this. Gary was called away due to a death in his family. Not a blood relation, but close enough that he feels obligated. So I'm on full animal and house duty at least through noon tomorrow. Fortunately tomorrow is Wednesday so I don't have to go into work until noon.
Poor Red was stuck in his crate for much of the day, but he never complains. I let him out the moment I came in the door, and even then he didn't make any rush to go outside as he can easily do through the dog door. Instead he has been sticking to me like velcro and crying when I go out to care for the horses and sheep. He obviously misses his daddy, though he was happy enough to eat the dinner I gave him.
I had forgotten that Friday is a holiday. Someone else mentioned it on Twitter just now, and I thought "Oh, yeah, it usually is." Went and checked the official library holiday list and sure enough. Then I rushed to put a notice on the library website, which I usually try to do a full week in advance. Not that most of our users ever visit the website, but at least we can say it was there.
Gary took his laptop and the wireless modem gadget, so I'm reduced to dialup. Slow dialup. Consequently, I'm going to stop here. See y'all later.
