altivoWent to Lake-in-the-Hills with Gary for his rehearsal this afternoon, where they let me sit in on flute. Weather was unrelentingly gray and drippy all day, with occasional thunder rumbles. Should be warmer and sunny tomorrow, but back to the rain after that for as far as the forecast runs.
Starbuck's sent me an e-mail link to a "coupon-book" probably mostly for stuff I'd never buy, but since it required Windows and that you download special software (probably spyware of some sort or else adware) in order to print it, I declined and sent them a rather sharp note pointing out that no responsible person allows advertising e-mail to install software on his computer. I didn't expect one, but I got it. Very apologetic, though they didn't offer to send me the printed coupons. The rep said he would refer my complaints to customer service. We'll see.
Neither of us slept well last night, so probably we'll try to go to bed early tonight. Fortunately, Red got his exercise walk early in the day when it was just drizzing a bit, because by the time we got home from rehearsal it was full out rain.
Head full of sudden story ideas, may force me to find time to write something soon.
