Just some bright and sunny photos behind the cut, with Okapi and flowers.

The Mad Cyclamen plant that keeps blooming almost continuously. Gary gave it to me in 2009 and it's still going strong.

The Miracle Hibiscus that recovered from two almost dead sticks in May to lush foliage and three or more blooms a day once hot and humid July arrived. We had put it out on the back step of the library to die and instead it thrived there.

My windowsill at work, with the current plush pals. Front, on top of computer, Folkmanis lion puppet complete with grumpy expression and bad hair day. Behind on the sill, two okapi. Left one is a Cuddlekins and on the right is a Ganz Webkinz. The Cuddlekins is probably more accurately proportioned, but I think the Webkinz is cuter. Both need bigger ears.
Oh, and we got our air conditioning going again this morning. $65 for a service call, which isn't so bad. He repressurized the underground thermal loop, which was down to almost zero, and it runs again. That loop has water and alcohol in it, not freon, thank goodness.

Date: 2011-08-11 10:03 am (UTC)We have a root-bound geranium at work that has been clinging to life for a few years now. I'm the only one who keeps it watered, and it blooms faithfully every few weeks.
