Another Wednesday

Not terrible, actually, but never the highlight of a week. Sunny with a chance of sudden thundershowers.

Eventually it slowed down enough that I actually got a few things done.

Low point: realizing that we're back the the point where the sun has already set when I leave work on Weds. And it's still daylight saving, even.

Gary is chuckling over Ursula's Curse of the Were-Wiener now, so my reaction wasn't just a fluke. I think. I think she should have had them sneaking around and vampirizing mustard and ketchup packets, though.

OK, enough of that. To bed.

I'd say that since the "parking wars" and the new building came into play, your stressful days seem to be every day. Not good, that.

Granted I don't enjoy coming home in the dark but these earlier sunsets are a welcome sight. It helps cool things down a little here. What I am more thankful for is the later sunrise which means I don't have to stare into a huge orange ball on my morning commute.

It never used to bother me until I got into the long commute thing, when we'd moved to the farm but I still worked in Chicago. Seeing the sun disappear before I got home meant that I'd not see the farm or the critters by daylight except on weekends until the next spring. I didn't care much for that and still don't.

It isn't as much of an issue now that I have only a 20 minute commute, and far less of the year is affected. It seems early though for me to notice it even on a Wednesday. It may have been cloudier than I thought it was last night. I'll have to look at how long the dusk lasts tonight.
