altivo: Running Clydesdale (running clyde)

Not the same as Mercury retrograde, but sometimes similar effects. The inside of my car windows was all frosted when I left the library today. Because of the way the glass is curved, a scraper does little to help, and it is necessary to sit with the engine running until the defroster heats up and thaws them. Going down to somewhere around zero F. tonight they say. Ugh.

Work was surprisingly busy, given the cold and the season. There was, of course, a pile of work accumulated over the long weekend as well. Cataloging, network issues, etc. kept me going much of the day. I'm glad this is another short week.

Now I think I'll go find something to do nearer the woodstove, rather than in this chilly office. ;p

I had the same problem with my truck after spending most of the afternoon in the office getting agronomy plans ready for customers. FIrst time in years I've had the inside of a vehicle frosted up. It was weird.

It never used to happen to my Cherokee, but this Escape does it two or three times every winter. I thought it might happen yesterday and backed into the parking space so the sun would shine on the windshield all day. I've had a theory that might help, but apparently not. I suspect that the Escape is more airtight than the Cherokee was, and the frozen moisture is from my own breath when I drove it in the morning.

We were busy today, I was told: I'm still out. I hear I'm missed, too: place must be getting scruffy ;o) I'm so not looking forward to returning on Saturday.

Stay warm! Temps here will be dropping again as the week progresses.

Up at 4 am to feed the woodstove. It's 6 degrees out. :(

Inside frost in a car is often quickly scraped off with the side of a credit card or similar. You'll want to put on gloves for it, though.

Good way to crack a credit card in half. But it's a thought. I could use a library card (unactivated of course so it can be discarded) or maybe the Starbuck's card my dentist gave me, since I never go to Starbuck's. ;p

The idea was a plastic card of those rough dimensions, yes. They work wonders.

You know I'm kind of glad I live in a place where that doesn't happen. Sounds really cold and I don't handle the cold well.

Remember paper and woodstoves don't mix ;)
