I really don't know. It sure went by fast. Here it is October 1, and we have a frost advisory for tonight. I was just thinking that I planted flower seeds given to us by our friend Izetta and they are just beginning to bud out now. If it frosts, we'll lose them before they bloom.

Nothing left of our tiny garden patch for this year except some Swiss chard, fortunately. That will stand a light frost and come through fine. Guess we'd better eat it soon, though.

We did get the haywagon out of the arena and back into position for pickup this afternoon. This one is larger by a couple of feet and heavier by some degree than the ones we usually get, so it was difficult for just two of us to maneuver it by hand. Took four or five passes back and forth to get it lined up to roll into place without having to push it uphill more than we could manage. Anyway, that's done. At least one more load to come, but odds are it will be a lighter wagon. I believe our supplier has only this one extra large one.

We had the woodstove going in the daytime today, and I made chili and cornbread for supper. Sure signs that the season is turning already. Apples are good and not too high priced at least. We have apple crumble for dessert when we get around to it. I need to find someone who has those little "sugar" pumpkins for making pies, too.

Ok, off to do some more knitting before bedtime. I have a scarf to finish before Tuesday, I hope. It's about half done at the moment.

I just spent a long weekend in Germany which turned out to be sunny and warm the whole time. Now, back here in England, there're signs of the weather getting back to normal...
