Hump day almost over, thank goodness. First couple of hours of tonight's shift it seemed as if someone had unloaded a bus of monkeys at the library. And I don't mean kids, but adults with weird issues, problems, and demands.
Anyway, that's done and only 12 hours left of the work week. Plus Friday is a payday, hooray.
Cold and gloomy, not even many birds stirring other than crows and starlings. About half the leaves are off the trees, yet even in this gray daylight you can tell there are a lot of brilliant scarlet, rust, and yellow colors that would just glow if the sun came out.
I heard tonight that the aurora display Monday night was in fact visible here but pretty dim. I didn't bother to look, since the K index was already dropping by the time it got dark and I thought the sky was pretty hazy. Should be more opportunities in the next year or two, though.
Gary got to talk to the woman who has the mystery cat and they concluded that he isn't ours. Gary is sure that ours was missing a couple of claws and she says the one she has is intact.
