Eve of All Hallow's Eve

I know that sounds recursive or redundant or something, but it's technically correct. Weather has gloomed back up and looks appropriately threatening. Gray and drizzly, with high winds earlier this afternoon. Leaves flying like crazy, that probably stripped the rest of the color from the landscape.

Duck laid another egg, that makes an even two dozen so far without a break. Cat is sleeping against the dog's belly again. Weaving and spinning show came down this afternoon, so that's all done for another year.

Gary made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, one of his famous "specialities." I made salad and garlic toast, and after the dishes were put away, I made apple bread pudding that is now in the oven.

Still undecided about Nano, but I don't have to make up my mind yet. I'm still weighing the options. I at least do have working portable writing tools again, after virtually everything broke down during last year's marathon.

Definite evidence of autumn here now, too; trees with leaves turning, and lots of leaves on the ground in the park. There'll likely be plenty to sweep over the next couple of weeks.
