Prairie Days Parade, Clinton, Wisconsin
Aug. 29th, 2004 11:35 pmWent today to join friends John and Linda of Rolling Ten Acres for the 9th annual Prairie Days Parade. This is in Clinton, Wisconsin, about 40 miles from home, where they have an equestrian parade. It's always fun to watch, with antique and modern vehicles and a lot of different kinds of horses, mules, and even donkeys.
This year I was invited to ride in the Rolling Ten wagon for the full parade, and was happy to accept. See me in this photo, behind (tan plaid shirt) and to the left of John (driving, red shirt). Lest Linda be left out here's another photo in which you can just see her behind John and to the right. Oh, and the lovely Haflinger mares pulling the wagon are Minnie Pearl (left) and Marette.
In going over the photos and the list of units afterward, I was amused to discover that one of these four horses is a Peruvian Paso named (tada) "Tivo". No, I don't know for sure which one is he.
