August Strindberg and... helium?
Aug. 30th, 2004 02:11 pmFor the many inflatable fans among my friends, here is a site with some strange Flash animations featuring playwright August Strindberg and a pink, winged inflatable balloon.

Altivo Horsey?

Date: 2004-09-03 03:15 pm (UTC)I started reading your LiveJournal after reading one of your comments in one of the entries in the LiveJournal of a friend of mine, Calydor, and clicking on your username. I have to say that your LJ entries are extremely interesting, and your introductory entries are inspirational. So thanks for sharing your thoughts with everyone via LJ, they do make very interesting, and often thought-provoking, reading :)
By the way - that is a very, very cute pic (your avatar)... :)

Date: 2004-09-03 05:54 pm (UTC)The image is an actual photo of one of my horses, Tess (short for Contessa), a Haflinger mare. Glad to hear someone read and appreciated this stuff, as I get fairly little feedback. (Why I write less now than I did at first.)
Re: Altivo Horsey?
Date: 2004-09-03 08:09 pm (UTC)Well, I'm not an LJ regular... I only came here because Calydor pointed to his new LJ entry in his profile on a certain talker. So as for a username / picture / etc, I don't have one.
As for the stuff you've written here, I am more than appreciative, it's actually a breath of fresh air, in a way. It's not often that you find someone with the unique combination of traits that are made evident in your writings.
I'm glad that Caly led me to this site and I found your comment in his LJ entry, because I honestly would have never found my way to your LJ any other way. I've never had an account at FurryMUCK, Trapestries seem to be too paranoid to let people in without a full anti-terrorist interrogation, and I hadn't read many other users' LJ's at all, certainly not enough to lead me to your specific LJ.
Anyway, again, just so you know, I did enjoy reading it and I hope that you continue with it. You would definitely make a nice change from my local librarian who always complains about my overdue books, too :P Perhaps it's just a sign of my sheltered life that I never thought a librarian could be so extremely interesting instead of merely mildly annoying.
Later :)

Date: 2004-09-03 10:21 pm (UTC)Yes, I have been known to give people the eye for returning their books overdue yet again. And I do sometimes tell noisy people to tone it down. My hair is in a pony tail rather than a bun, however, and I don't have wrinkles yet. (Though my hair is fast turning gray...)
