I'm astounded and delighted at once. [livejournal.com profile] flaredragon (Flare Starfire) has composed a selection named for me.

You can find it here: The Clydesdale Librarian, Altivo.

Flare does improvisational composition at the keyboard. If you didn't already know him, keep an eye on my Clydesdale Librarian website, because I do intend to have a review of his work soon.

And thank you from the bottom of my heart, Flare. It's beautiful, and I'm touched, flattered, and embarrassed all at once. You're the first to ever give me original music.

How lucky you are

Yes, I was blessed and pleasantly surprised to receive one from Chama (still unfinished so I can't redistribute the rough recording he sent me last year). An original music composition is definitely one of the most genuine "Wow!" gifts someone can surprise you with. Anyone can buy you a CD of an artist they know you like, but someone who actually makes original music just for you, as a gift ... that's spectacular.

I sooooo wish I could get off my duff to do music well enough that someone would actually want to hear it, lol.

*whinnies to the clydesdale* Hurr, I should be the one thank you, Altivo. =) May I post this song to EroEquine? Everyone seemed to like my two earlier submissions, so I wonder what they would think of this one. *tailswishes*

And you want to do a review of me? ^^;; I'm going to have to hurry up and get my website redesign done for that, neigh! *hustle shire!* It's been stagnant and outdated for sooooooo long....

*hugs the pony*

Yes, sure. As I said earlier, it's your creation. Post it wherever you wish. I'm honored to be named, but I certainly don't own it. ;)

And yes, I'd like to do a review on your work. By all means, update your web site so I can give folks a pointer to it. (All three who are likely to read the review, that is.)

Awah, I'm pretty sure your audience will grow, pony. I'm certainly going to spread the word. *nuzzles*

*giggle*

I dunno. That may not be the best idea. Given an audience, I've been known to run with them.

Don't mind me, I just watched the Hallmark version of Lion in Winter, with Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close. It's one of my favorite plays, and they did it proud.

I should have been here writing away, but you have to take a break sometimes. ;)

*grins* I know how to take a break, and it usually involves a certain friesian. *tailflicks innocently*

I wish I knew what an xml feed is, looks like thats the way to get notified every time you do update your site neigh. *whinnies, confused at the technology thingie*

Yes, that's what RSS is. It uses an XML file that gets updated when an addition is made to something. I use one for my podcasts, and another now for the Librarian website.

In order to use it, you have to have a reader that understands it. Some e-mail programs can do that. Thunderbird does, for instance, and probably Outlook Express does too these days. So does Gmail. There are other dedicated readers too. You add the URL that points to the XML file into your subscription list, and then whenever there's an update either a notice or a copy of the actual update will appear in your mailbox. It's really pretty easy once you get it set up.

He composed a really really nice piece for you. It reflects so well the grace and the inner-peace of the Clydesdale.

I have two of his CDs at home and I never get tired of listening them. I will surely buy more of his CDs and I hope he will put this piece on one of them.

Every time I will listen to this song from now on, I will have in mind a Clydesdale peacefully grazing in a sunny field as the breeze softly invites the grass to dance gracefully at his feet.

Thank you kindly for having pointing this song out for us.

My pleasure, of course. I'm glad to share it, and to let others know how talented Flare is. :)

Oh! I do...

Every time one of my furiends or one of my friend is visiting I put one of his CD on. And before going to Furfright this year I will phone them to see if anyone want me to buy one for them. I might even buy a couple to give as a gift.

If anything sums up a large, gentle horse, its this kind of music. Very good. Its relaxed me after quite a stressful day.

Sorry I did not comment on this earlier. I wanted to listen to it completely first.
